RB Awareness Week Webinar on Retinoblastoma – Program Summary
As part of the RB Awareness Week Special, a highly informative and successful webinar titled "See the Signs, Save the Sight: Webinar on Retinoblastoma" was conducted on May 17, 2025 (Saturday), from 8–9 PM via Zoom.
The session featured insightful presentations by:
Dr. Sabin Sahu on Diagnosing Retinoblastoma
Dr. Purnima R. Sthapit on Managing Retinoblastoma
Moderated by Dr. Manisha Shrestha
The program was organized by the Nepal Ophthalmic Society (NOS) in collaboration with the Nepalese Society for Oculoplastic Surgeons (NESOS), with Lions Club of Kathmandu Radiance Doctors as the Public Awareness Partner.
The event saw active participation from approximately 95 attendees, including Ophthalmic Assistants, Optometrists, MBBS students, and Postgraduate Residents from across the country. The webinar successfully raised awareness on early diagnosis and effective management of Retinoblastoma, emphasizing the importance of saving vision and lives through timely intervention.
